Yes, it is compulsory to send your articles/projects to the library because it will be kept as an archive collection for the university.
Children below 12 years old are not allowed to roam the library without supervision of their parents.
Yes, but only by request by providing information of the donor such as name and address or email.
There is a lot of power plug to charge any of your ICT equipment. Just use it properly. :)
There are all free. ;)
Yes, we do allow customers to come in with eco-bags. However backpack and laptop bags are not to be brought into the library. Meanwhile, Library provides lockers outside the building for customers to keep their belongings.
Library organizes book exhibition with different themes. During the exhibition, customers are welcomed to visit the exhibition area freely. For those who want to collaborate in setting up an exhibition, do not hesitate to contact us via email to email@example.com
You need to fill up a request form available at the Circulation Counter to get this book.
Library only accepts suggestion for purchasing from lecturers only. If students want to suggest, they may do so through their lecturers or supervisors. The suggestions can be directed to acquisition division via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Malaysia Public University students may come into the library for reference only by display their matrics/students card and must registerbeforehand at the Circulation Counter. However, other university students must get permission from Deputy Chief Librarian through official letter before coming to library.
Items found in the Library can be claimed at the Circulation Counter. The items will be handed over to the Security Department if not claimed within a week.
The library uses your USM email address as your ID & your own USM email password.

No, any food and drinks are prohibited in the library except plain water.
Library provides few photocopy machines in the library, but customers need to buy a photocopy card from photocopy centre (ground floor outside the library). Printing also can be done there at the photocopy centre
There are 10 carrel rooms available in the library. Usage is limited to Academic Staff and Postgraduate students for one week with no charge.
There are 90 lockers available at the library. Users may get the key at the Circulation Counter. No charges are imposed but loss of key will be fined RM100.00
Basically, the library collection comprises of two types; open shelf collection and reference collection. Open shelf collection can be borrowed by customers, while reference collection abides to certain rules and is meant for internal use only. To use WiFi, please use USMSecure and can log in using your campusonline username and password.
This division is located at the 2nd floor which handles all journal related activities. It is also in charge for databases acquisition. This division is open daily from Sunday to Thursday , 8.30 am – 4.30 pm. Any inquiry, please email to email@example.com

Media Service is available at the ground floor of the right wing, where you can borrow media collections, use the viewing room, play indoor games, watch Internet TV and use the leisure area for study. For further info, please email to firstname.lastname@example.org
The library follows the dress code provided by the University. Short skirt and pant (above knee) is strongly prohibited.

Lost or damaged item is under user’s responsibility. Please report at the Circulation Counter immediately. Users are advised to replace the item on their own (buy from any bookshop/supplier) or we will charge double price (if we handle the acquisition process). All types of educational collections in printed or non-printed format except brochures.
The computer lab at 1st floor in library is equipped with 30 computers ready for use. Usage is limited for 2 hours and if you want to continue using the PC, please log in again. Don’t forget to log out once you have finished using the PC.
